think a bit... how will we survive over the next couple of years, if we do not stop destroying our own Planet?

So...what is the best thing to do?

First we will breath air in. Then we will exhale it. Then when we get hungry we will go buy some food and eat it. Then when we get thirsty we will go get some water and drink it. We will then repeat this cycle over and over and survive.

Evolution isa highly unlikely to happen in the next 200 years compared to the millions of years for an average evolution to take place...but hey! you'll never know..

we could act now.....build more hydro electric power plants because there the most efficient renewable energy sources avaliable now and we could all start to buy hybrid electric cars which use very little petrol...thus less pollution....

The end of the world being near idea has been with us for thousands of years. It is not new but it is the fear that drives us to survive all the problems that come our way.I cant say we will survive 200 years but the chances are we will because we react to that fear.Suivival will however depend on reducing our demands on the earths resources and that will mean smaller house, using less water and less electricity. It will also mean less reliance on the motor car.The biggest problem is going getting town planners and architects to change the way they think.

The best thing to do is the best you can. We are NOT in danger of going extinct. We ARE in danger of running out of oil. Running out of oil would be bad, but not bad enough to make people go extinct. Right now we have a choice. We can voluntarily stop using oil (and coal) as a power source, for reasons of pollution or whatever, or we can just use it all up and involuntarily give up using oil (and coal) as a power source. I say, work on finding other energy sources now, while we have the luxury of using the oil (and coal) while we do the work.
