When i start my P.C. i get this error"SMART failure in hard disk drive 0. Back-up ur data and replace ur hard drive disk.
A failure may be imminent" and furthur the booting process does not take place. I want to retrive the data from the HDD ne how. How do i fix it?

Your hard drive is failing and it looks like the boot sector can not be read anymore.
Option 1- Install a new hard drive and load OS. Then install old HDD as slave drive and transfer the files to the new drive.

Option 2- Pull out HDD. Reset jumper to slave and install as slave drive in another PC w/ CD burner. Copy (burn) your files to a CD.

You get another Harddrive
replace the BAD one
Install Windows on the new drive

then hookup the failing one as the slave to primary
copy files QUICKLY drive can fail at anytime
