As a guy I see where he is coming from. Id do absolutely anything for my girlfriend I have now. Nothing is to much for the one you love. If I had all the money in the world I would love to do things for her, but unfortunately a college student I am living paycheck to paycheck and have to find other ways to give everything to her. My friends argue with me that I do to much but I wouldn't do it if i didn't think my girl deserved every bit of it. The only thing I ever ask in return is to be loved, that's all we want in the end anyways. Unfortunately I am sorry to say i haven't had an experience with a girl with lots of money and not knowing what to do. Maybe talking to him about it so he understands how different it is for you. Maybe work out a plan to pay different ways, or some nights go out to a family diner or somewhere the wealthy people wouldn't consider going, in my mind a place where people have the most fun. Explain that you don't need to go somewhere expensive and that you just want to go out with him regardless of where it is. And if he loves you like I know he does he wont say no to trying something new adventurous and, inexpensive. Ive found tons of cheap, free date ideas online look some of them up. I think he just needs to be shown you can have an unforgettable night with out spending a dollar. On the other hand let him spoil you, I'm sure he doesn't think twice about it and believes you deserve all of it. Finally when it comes to fighting your own battles and being independent, there is nothing wrong with that but im sure all he wants to know is that your OK, so fill him in when you think you should and who knows if somethings going on you cant figure out, I have found my girlfriend sometimes knows me more then I know myself.
