Royalty is your thing, and we have our devotees here in US, but why won't the old grouch step down? She persecuted Princess Dianne, acts like a prom (school dance)queen, wears very funny outfits (unlike other European monarchs,) has no idea what the modern world is about, depreciates her sons and daughters, and I bet she smells bad from all the anti-arthritis creams she uses for her bad back. Bossy, uninformed (even with the PM trotting down for her approval,) spiteful, paranoid, wears old maid shoes, never seen her ride a horse. ????????

Love it so far. President Bush doesn't have IQ of pot plant, I guess you mean marijuana, or did you mean potted plants? He had high IQ, but cocaine and alcohol sent it to his nose, and he can't see real. Okay, you got me, I was layed under a rock and hatched by the sun, but I know who my father is, do YOU? You're right, I have seen her ride, but the horse looks very irritated. Bet she yanks too hard on the reigns.

Keep 'em coming. I especially like the insulting ones, shows a rather poor self-image to use name calling. I didn't, just adjectives. I knew she rode, tricked you.

Mommma, please, you know nothing about me. But, to quote Lindbergh is rather strange, that old satyre with families all over the world. Just yesterday I was a hero for the hundreth time or more. Kept a fight from happening over a person from one race, engrossed in a book, from running over a family with 2 infants.

I am British and I honestly don't know to this day what the Queen actually does or what her purpose is (apart from appearing on coins)

Even so I do agree on some of your points? However, why should the Queen give it up? Some 53 years ago she went through cornation to become the Queen of England after King Goerge IV died. I am not from Britain, I am from Europe (Germany).
I think it comes with history. History and it's rituals and many roles that the Queen has since full filled. Not to mention to be the head of the Angelican Church in England. Look into her flawless marriage to Prince Philipp her husband. Could you imagine Prince Charles with that adulturful Camilla in charge? Heck, I do not think so. It's better they prepare Prince William the younger generation for a better life and future for the Monarchy. I bet once Prince William will be in charge we will see a lot of changes. God bless Queen Elizabeth for many more years to come. Remember, the future, the medical technology , the great food jkeeps them alive longer!

You're a wonderful old queen yourself. You obviously know just which buttons to press to ensure that the whole of the British Establishment comes down on you hard. Diss the Queen at your peril. Every part of the British Establishment sees it as their absolute duty to defend and honour her at all times. You are way off the mark with all those personal comments but she is a part of a diseased British Establishment and has expressed no concern at the corruption which the Establishment has brought to our Society. Unfortunately the Queen wears blinkers and supports the Establishment at a very real cost to ordinary citizens.

Well well you know how to get a reaction and that is what you were looking for...not an answer to a question.

Here is something for you:

If you had a job that makes you a multi billionaire, and guarantees the same for your off spring and riches for your entire family, would you step down ?
If you've never seen her ride a horse you are not very observant, she owns thousands of them and has her own private army, who are known locally as the British Army, you'll have heard of them, they're the guys she sent over to Iraq to stop you Yanks from getting your @sses kicked in another Vietnam you started !

Peter Peter Peter. Why should she step down? If she does everyone will moan about Charles and Camilla. So I suppose
she is trying not to cause a stir there. She may even be waiting for her grandson to take the throne.
She is a funny lady with a dry sense of humour. I doubt
she smells. Couldn't tell you about the arthritis (think yr being
a bit of a p***k here. I have arthritis and I'm not 81! And she
DOES ride a horse. You probably don't see it on your tv - but
it is shown here on ours where she loves riding her horse! Also walking her dogs!! So leave our Queen alone!! And
try and think a few words to say about Bush. Have a nice day! Minxy.

Why do you have a man with an IQ of a pot plant for a president? The Queen serves a purpose, I'm not a royalist but I do not see why see should abdicate (step down) as unfortunately we would have King Charles!

The UK is based on Tradition and the royal family are tradition and what the hell has it got to do with an American!

Edited to say - No I mean a pot plant as in Yucca, green and dull!

Hi,
May we looks at your criticisms one at a time?
1. The Queen cannot just decide to "step down". When she took on the job at 21, she vowed that she would serve as Queen for the whole of her life. A pretty final step for a young woman. So she is in the job as a Constitutional Monarch till she dies. Would you fancy making that commitment? I guess you must know her personally since you refer to her as an "old grouch" - I guess that could be one interpretation for someone who believes in the British ideal of doing things quietly and with dignity.
2. Her choice of attire? What would you have a woman in her 80's wear? 4" heels? mini skirts? piercings?
3. I believe that she is probably better informed about the World than the general populace - she even watches television! Gosh!!
4. Does she use anti-arthritis creams on her back? I wouldn't know since few of us in this Country (obviously different in the States) do not have access to her medical records.
5. Horse-riding - how much horse riding will you be doing in your 80's? It is only in very recent years that she stopped riding horseback at the Trooping of the Colour which I would have thought you knew since you are privvy to all the inner workings of Buck House.
6. During the last War, Princess Elizabeth proved herself to be a first rate car mechanic and was in the Land Army, so I guess she does know a little about what goes on in the Country. The Royal family did have rationing just as the rest of us did and the people of this Country donated their own clothing coupons towards her Wedding Dress.
A little more info - the Royal Family do pay taxes, the Prince of Wales is the biggest philanthropist in in this Country, the Princess Royal works extremely long hours not only in her public duties but in doing her homework.
Buckingham Palace does not belong to the Royal Family in the same way that No.10 Downing Street does not belong to the Prime Minister. Without the Civil List (people who receive some money for carrying out endless Royal appearances most of which are probably boring in the extreme) the Firm are wealthy in their own right. But, would you work for nothing and hire the necessary staff to and tools to do your job without any monetary contribution from someone. Our M.P.s receive money to pay for clerical staff and residences in London so that they are able to do their jobs - shouldn't we think they should stand down, too?
O.K. I reckon that my support for the Royal Family deserves a violation notice at least!

Excuse me, but we love our Royal Family especially HRH The Queen, so if you are so jealous of us British and I can see you are. Can I suggest since you desperately want to become British, the same as all the Americans who have moved to this country.
Just to emigrate to Britain, we will not hold all your ranting and raving against you, because we know jealousy makes people do some stupid things. Look forward to seeing you when your plane lands in Scotland because we love her as well.

Shows how much you know.

She wasn't particularly fond of DianA, but because she is human is she not allowed her likes and dislikes of people? I think she has a right to act like a "prom queen" - all heads of state do this.

Queen Elizabeth - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Elizabeth_II_greets_NASA_GSFC_employees%2C_May_8%2C_2007.jpg

Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Beatrix05.jpg

Queen Silvia of Sweden - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Drottning_Silvia_i_Oslo_juni_2005.JPG

They all look pretty similar to me. Perhaps your sophisticated American eyes can see something we of the old world cannot?

I think she has a very good idea what the modern world is about, seeing as she is the second longest serving head of state in the world. She's seen it all, and has had many different prime ministers - ALL of which highly value their weekly audience with the queen, and hold her opinion of matters very highly.

The Queen does not have "arthritis of the back", but possibly has osteoporosis. If you are 81 and in perfect health, believe me I'll eat my words.

Bossy - well you tell me a head of state who isn't. Uninformed - now who was it that said Iraq had WMD again?
Spiteful - where did you get that idea from?
Paranoid - lies. If she was paranoid then how did Michael Fagan manage to get into her BEDROOM in 1982?
Wears old maid's shoes - Well she is old. But she gets many of her clothes from Harrods - hardly Oxfam is it?

And, as a special treat, here's the queen on a horse - http://www.reagan.utexas.edu/archives/photographs/large/c8454-18.jpg

And I'm even going to be kind and not slag off Bush for you!

What a weird, twisted view. Try reading some properly informed sources and learn a little of British history and tradition.
