Without a doubt Charlie Hustle himself Pete Rose.
People has this thing about Home runs and place them above pure hitters. Rose was pure hitter and has done more than anyone else with a bat in the NL.
Here are some stats to back that up.
7- 20 game hit streaks, 44 game hit streak, 10 times 5 hits or more in a game, 746 doubles, 23 seasons with 100 hits or more, 10 seasons with 200 hits or more.
Everyone knows if you get 3000 hits you go to the Hall of Fame. Rose has 3215 singles alone, 1 MVP, 3 World Series ( 1 named as MVP ) 3 Batting Titles, Rookie of the Year, All time hit leader 4,256.
But as of right now Albert P. He started off real bad and look where he is now.

Pujols, he is the most consistent player in the NL. He has hit 30+ Homers in his first 6 season and has a career avg. of 330.

Holliday or Pujols, no doubt...both are studs, Last time I checked Pujols is only in his 20's...he's a monster, Holliday is the most underrated player in the league right now, and only cause he's a Rockie. Both can hit the living daylights out of the ball.

Albert Pujols is the perfect combination of power and hitting for average. He is a lifetime .330 hitter and averages over 40 homeruns a year. Who else can come close to matching these numbers?

Matt Holliday. He is going to be a major star for years to come and playing in Coor's Field will only help. I think he will pass Pujols and become a MVP real soon
