Side one: Between evil and good, good is better and more likely to be popularly accepted. Good tends to be catching, so if enough people set and example of good behavior evil will be overcome.

Side two: Good has scruples, where evil has none. Scruples limit our actions. With no limits to its actions evil may prevail over good.

Since I happen to believe in good, I would say good people and those with good intentions also need patience, and a lot of it.
