No.
The mechanism that brings blood to the penis is not related to the tube that is clamped or clipped to prevent sperm from joining the ejaculate ( the vasa deferentia ).
This in no way affects the function of the testes or the male hormones that are produced there.
So, after a recoup period and testing, he is just the same, only no sperm in the semen!
Vasectomies are now considered semi-permanent birth control, because if the tube is not removed, only obstructed, it can be reversed.
Another advantage is that it allows a man to take control of his own reproductive potential.
Most of the risks of getting the procedure are associated with swelling and infection.
This is a pretty decent site on it, and on reversal:

The truth is, there are no side effects to vasectomies besides being sore for a few days.
Maybe it would be difficult, for him, for a few days after he gets the operation. That is only because he may be sore down there. If he is having sex with you in the first week he is asking for an infection. He should have waited. Having sex within the first week is like trying to run a marathon the day after getting surgery on your foot.
I had mine 20 years ago, and have no problem. I waited a week before having sex. I know lots of men whom have had vasectomies. Not a one has complained about any problem at all.
Assuming he didn't just get the vasectomy yesterday, here is what you need to know:
Your boyfriend needs to see a doctor. He might have high, or low blood pressure. He might be diabetic. He might just be stressed out at work. Has he may not be enough sleep. He may be abusing illegal drugs, Many men whom abuse cocaine, crystal methane, or steroids, have problems with erections.
The good news, is unless he has done long term damage to his body (drugs, etc), the condition is usually not long term. The other good news is erectile dysfunction is almost always a psychological condition, brought on by stress. Perhaps he needs nothing more than a vacation.
Honestly, would ½ million men, every year, in the USA alone, get vasectomies if there was even the slightest chance it could result in erectile dysfunction. Don’t blame this on the vasectomy. There are way too many things that can really cause his problem. A vasectomy is not on the list.

Not true. As far as I know no man has ever suffered the loss of an erection due to a vasectomy. Negative effects - it is considered a permanent procedure, although it could be reversed successfully. The advantages, throw away birth control pills and condoms(if you are married). Had a vasectomy done 2 years ago and there is nothing wrong with me.

only for the first week or so woudl the guy have any reluctance to get erect - the period while the incision heals up. then again he probably won;t enjoy walking either for a few days.
however once all is healed up he should be absolutely fine in the erection and sex department since all a vasectomy does is cut a couple small ducts that bring sperm from the testicles to their jumping off point. there is not supposed to be any effect on his ability to get erect or have sex.

Absolutely not....no negative effects whatsoever. Some men rarely have some postop problems (bleeding, pain etc) but that is usually from trying to do too much to soon after surgery. After a guy heals up though there are NO negative effects. Any loss of erectile capacity is entirely due to psychological problems of the patient.

No Vasectomy has no affect on erections. The only thing that you may notice is total volume of the ejaculate will go down. Look for a DR. who has soft hands

Who told you that? All of these "is it true" questions are resulting from someone somewhere telling you and others total crap. Always challenge any statements you hear from anyone that really doesn't make any sense.
Many men get vasectomies to keep from fathering more children. That does not mean they want to keep from having intercourse! If that was the case, they would just refrain from sex and not bother with the surgery.

No, there is absolutely no problem with erections. No side effects from that operation.
