just to prove my point once again, bonds has never been proven to take steroids, and if you think sosa has never taken steroids you shouldnt be asking questions in the sports section because you really have no idea what you are talking about, and besides that sosa is a great homerun hitter and a hall of famer but in no way the best player right now,, not even close

Ignoring the whole steroids thing - because who knows for sure if either of them did or did not use steroids - I would say no.
I think Albert Pujols is currently the best player in baseball. Although I like Sammy, I don't think he was the best player in baseball. Maybe not even the best on his team. But for sure, he is not the best in baseball right now. A-Rod, Pujols, and several others are way better at this point.

I would say when it comes down to it, history will tell us that Albert Pujols is the best player. He's the only guy to hit over .300, 30 hrs, and 100 rbi in his first 6 seasons, not to mention that little gold glove he's got for first base. He's the all around player.

I think more highly of position players like A-Rod, Derek Jeter, Ichiro Suzuki, Albert Pujols and even guys like Mike Lowell who is essentially a good-hitting defensive third baseman. Don't just look for homers---look for defensive speed, baserunning skills, Tony Gwynn-ish hitting ability, and even the abilities to draw walks and effectively bunt in sacrifice and squeeze play situations.
Sammy also has his little sparrow-fart temper tantrums and doesn't even deserve to be playing anymore.

Nope, because Sosa did roids too, so hell no he's not the best.Either is Bonds.

Not even close...even if Sammy does even more roids than hes already done, he still isnt as good as Bonds.

No, because he also cheated using a corked bat. He also looks alot smaller than previous years.
