My lovely Neighbours .. huh! Nosey Old B'stards... picture where I live - a cul-de-sac ..the neighbours house sits at an angle on the corner and looks right into ours .. The man is an old leach - he pretends to be helpful - wandering round picking up any litter, leaves etc.. I was getting ready one morning and I saw a glint in my mirror.... the old git had a telescope trained on our bedroom window..my husband went mental and had to be restrained by a few other neighbours..

I get on well with all of my neighbours.
Believe it or not i think the smoking ban has played a part! Since it was introduced last year (in Scotland) it seems that a lot of people have decided that they want a smoke free home too, so you often find the neighbours out for a sneaky cig.
People unite by chatting about how difficult it is to quit but how nice to have a fresh smelling home! The non smokers like to tut and roll their eyes!

Apart from my neighbours either side of me I don't know anyone else. The two couples opposite will say hello or raise their hand in greeting, that's all. Did get on well with my immediate neighbours but they have pissed me off lately. One side has been promising numerous times to put up their boundary fence for the 3 years they have been there and still not done (there is no fence whatsoever & I can't afford to do theirs). The other side have bought their kid a trampoline positioned in line with my window so he and his mates jump up and down and watch me while I am watching tv. Not to miss out the numerous footballs which come over into my garden and break down my plants, veggies etc. Apart from that everything is ok!!!!

I try to be nice but, in today's society, politness is seen as some sort of weird ritual to most people. For example, there was a very large, elderly woman once that I saw walking up hill in high heat, I pulled over and asked her if she'd like a lift and she backed away from my vehicle while grasping her purse in only what can be defined as a 'kung-fu grip'. I felt insulted and angry at myself for stopping. Now a days, I'll be polite to those who are with me but I don't think I'll go out of my way again to be nice.

We get on really well with the majority of our neighbours, we do have one lot in the street that are feral and very noisy but were taming them slowly but surely.

I get on alright with all of them. Some I know better than others, some to have a good chat with, others to just wave and say hello. Wouldn't say I fight with any of them.

All the neighbors around our house get along great. In the summer we grill out and sit on the proches at night and drink cocktails.
