Of course,as a17 year old. You have to call on the publishers & always give them the xerox copy of your novel with your signature in every page....and you can't trust one.

Get a copy of Writer's Market and approach an agent instead. Most publishers are not even going to look at your manuscript. But find an agent who works with similar writing.

The best way to find out about getting a book publish is to go to your local newspaper and ask for advice. I'm sure the editorial staff wouldn't mind spending some time with a young writer and explaining a few things about publishing. Publishers have a reputation to protect so I guess..all of them can be trusted, so don't worry. On my part, I have browse many sites and these are a few that I think you may want to check out. You can learn about self publishing and using a publishing house. Good luck with your book.

First, you need a Literary Agent to read your manuscript, to determine if it is worth pursuing a Publisher.

Since you are a minor, you should first check with your parent or guardian and have them help you. then research publishers on the net.
Good Luck.
