#1 is Helter Skelter b/c it started my quest to understand the human mind (particularly the minds of those who are crazy).

#2 is Prisoner of My Desire - trashy historical romance. But it taught me that sometimes reading for pleasure can be mindless and trashy. And that's OK. These books have taught me more about the histories of England, Scotland and Ireland than any history class. And I learned what "tumescent" means.

The Complete Works of Shakespear - not everyones cup of tea but i've been reading shakespear plays since I was in year 8, I've seen as many of his plays as I can at the theatre and he kicked ****. (I'm going into directing and script writing - he's helped shape me)

and

A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer - addmittedly it's not very well written but its so horrifing that it really puts life into perspective and makes you feel like you could tackle any problem head on.

John Wesley's Journals.------- This man's life and his writings totally brought change to Great Britain.
