my pension is paid into the bank and i just get my money from the hole in the wall. is there any legal requirment for me to change my pension over to there. i dont realy want all the hassle with changing. i cant open a bank account because i am only renting and to open an account you need.ellectric or gas bills that i dont have as its included in the rent. thanks.

The last time I looked the Isle of Man was in the UK

the isle of man is not classed as the uk because it has its own government and laws, i dont think it will make any difference swapping it as you have to live on the island for 5 years before your beome a manx resident and until then you cant claim any benifits from the isle of man government. so you will have to keep claiming from the uk government until then. you can change your bank adress without having to have bills or anything with your new address on, and depending what bank you are with there are most uk banks over here.

Your bank in U.K. should be informed as it is a change of address but if you do that they may close down your account.It is not a legal requirement .It is an obligation to the bank. If I were you I would not tell them.
