How about bowling(10 pin not Crown Green) that way she'll feel comfortable, you can chat, have a laugh and you can find stuff about her like what sort of food she likes so you can take her to a restaurant afterwards that serves her kind of food, plus by the time you've got to the restaurant, you've already gained some info about her likes dislikes etc to ask her about so she'll feel good that you're showing an interest in what sort of a person she is!

Whatever you do, be yourself and enjoy your date!

...Well describing her as "Intelligent" indicates that you know this girl...if you know her then you should know what her interests are...i.e. does she like the Ballet, Opera, Plays, Cinema.... pick one and don't forget to include a nice meal (perhaps in the West End, Chelsea or Angel Islington...
Ask her what types of food she likes...i.e. Italian, Caribbean (Cottons restaurant Camden), French or Indian etc....
Pick her up, take her for an evening of pleasant conversation be a gentlemen and I am sure if she is intelligent or illiterate she would appreciate it equally....

PS: Intelligence is only superficial it is what in the heart that really matters......................

Good luck with your date.

What are her interests? A Museum - if you don't want to talk a great deal. But I suggest if you are keen then get to know her, don't go and get drunk or anything like that - your decisions will not be quite the same as when sober. A nice walk somewhere (weather permitting).

Eh...take her to Billl Nye the science guy XD
lol just kidding...eh not funny? I see...
Well if you want me to be serious then well...
I would say a cafe.
If not then a restaurant, theaters, or somewhere out to eat.
Going out for ice cream is nice.
Well good luck now.

Oh and also, don't be shy on her now. Humor is the key to a successful date, or....kinky stuff i guess...
I don't know every girl is different just beware of those "AWKWARD SILENCE!" they are fatal!
>_<

Hey dood just because shes switched on does not mean she wants to visit library or stay in and read a book or two!!!!!
How did you meet, was it in the library( I didnt think so)
Do what I did when I met my girl ( who is an accountant)
Go for a meal, then just in case things are not going to plan get your mates to turn up in same place to give you some help!
Worked for me , been married 15yrs now!!
IF STILL STUCK FOR IDEAS THEN DO WHAT I USED TO DO , JUST ASK HER.

I always like lunch on a first date. It could be as long or as short as you wanted. And you are trying to get to know each other so you can talk.

take her to a nice restaurant, with an atmosphere that encourages conversation...because all girls (especially smart ones) really want to do is talk.

and then it would be nice if you took her just on a walk or something in a park or in an interesting city.

lots of talking.
