If your thoughts are that of anger, jealousy, resentment, bitterness, those thoughts soon manifest in a negative way in your body and cause your body to drag and your mental state to become stressed and/or depressed.

If thoughts are converted to actions, they can harm or benefit through those actions. However, if the thoughts just remain thoughts, they get more and more complex within the mind and do have the potential to start bugging the mind.... that can lead to an unhealthy mind and an unhealthy mind can only result in an unhealthy body too.... that is how mere thoughts can harm us physically too.
Well, that was a great question provoking deeper thoughts!!

Every disease begins as a dis-ease.
Every thought whether expressed or unexpressed first creates an emotional response within us, and every emotional response, also results in a chemical response.
Thus every bad ‘chemical experience would leave behind a chemical residue within us, which is eventually expelled from the body.
Though in the long run, when the body can no longer expel all our 'bad thoughts', it starts absorbing them, and they start manifesting as diseases.
All this can be stopped by choosing to think responsibly. By choosing to think only what keeps us healthy. Healthy thoughts promote health.

95% of our actions source from the mind. If actions are to be controlled, we have to control our mind first. Normally, someone sensible thinks with his mind then sends this thought to his heart so as to be able to judge whether the action thought for is worth it or not!!! This is the greatest problem of people nowadays. They just let themselves get entangled by their own thoughts. All this mass violence in the world is explained by this! They think that whatever they think is right, which is not the case at all!!!! So, listen to your heart in whatever you do and you will see that the heart never decides wrongly.

Obviously, if we are obsessed with unhappy thoughts for days till we can't enjoy having any meal, we would lose weight, beauty, health or even life. Therefore, we should try to have positive, happy thoughts at all times in which everyone has his/her own ways of decent, practical happiness. Take care.

Yes they can the negative thoughts that you have about a situation that you can not chnage you physically internalize them and you can get sick from deep depression ....my Mom lost her husband about two years ago and she was stressed in a great depression for two years and about 6 months ago her hair started to fall out it was scary I thought she was going to die the doctor said that it was from stress and her nerves her body went into some kind of shock.............and things started to shut down for her I cried the first time I saw her and i prayed to God constantly not to take my Mom I had to be strong for her she was going through a dark period.........she is better now and her hair has grown back but times it falls out she needs to calm down see the power of ones thoughts......................I gave her spritual books to read and I think they helped her plus she is seeing a therapist too and thats a great help to talk to someone about ones disappointment and tragic events.............

some thoughts are harmless. but if you keep thinking about this thought over and over again constantly then it might take over your other thoughts, causing it to control you, dominate you and make you paranoid from this. to avoid it don't think about it all the time, think happy thoughts
