Yeah....I grew up in the 70's and 80's during that time it was taboo to date outside your race....I dated mainly white girls, my dad even thou truly disliking it excepted it. My older brothers and sisters hated the fact that I was dating white girls, they always tell me " If you wasn't such a stand out in sports, that white wouldn't want nothing to do with you". I never dated broke white girls, dumb or loose. There always alot of tension when ever brought her to BBQ or events. I'm not saying it's wrong, but be prepared for a lot of people not excepting it.

They never said it. But they would likely have had a problem with it.
However, if I had met a person of another race that I wanted to date, I would have done so.

It was just never talked about in my family when I was growing up. We lived out in the country where there was only one black family in the whole county (I am white). Interracial dating just wasn't prevalent in our area.
Now I am 45 & married to a black man. Everyone in my family loves my husband....especially my dad & my grandma. It was love at first sight for both of us. I would have dated him no matter what anyone else thought.

Well, my mom dont really like it actually. Plus my bf is a catholic.
But i dont care as long as i love that guy and that guy love me.. i tried all my best persuade my mom. Eventually my mom really like him too and she bless us.
But too bad my x-bf can't persuade his grandma. He is not strong enough to stand on our loves. He's chicken.
Anyway, i'm still interested with different races, never in my life fall for my own races. Even though the break up experiance i had with my 5 yrs x-bf is painful, i will stand on my foot as long as i found my love, the one i want.

My parents werent racist. The left all options to their children. As a result we all grew up with no hatred in our hearts towards others and we grew to judge people on their deeds not in the color of their skin, nor the language they speak nor the God that they pray to.

I really don't see what's wrong with it. Whoever does are racists. I have this slight tan on my skin so, both black and white complexion people are outside my race I guess :D

yes my parents did and at first i didn't see where the color of skin would matter but when i became an adult i seen that it is NOT the color but the MAJOR culture difference and was glad they gave me the heads up because it made me want to rebel against them but then i seen when talking to a black or asian chick that we would not mix personal or culturally so it was good advice after all
