I think it's different for us all--we each construct a unique meaning (or struggle to find said meaning).
If I can apply a universal it is this:
life is about acquiring love and transcending human desire for comfort, only then can we know fulfillment. We essentially do everything we do for love, so there is no use hiding from it. realize what it is you want to be loved for, and by whom you want to be loved, and then the meaning of life becomes clear and simple. The meaning of life can then be cutting tumors out of people or hitting grand slams, all for society's love (or maybe just that cute blonde with the twinkle in her eye).
While pleasure is not the meaning of life, it's an important part, so have as much sex as possible and there'll be one thing you won't regret on your deathbed (assuming you don't catch a "bug").
If I know one thing about the meaning of life, it isn't comfort--all the memorable things, the things that fill our experience and give humans dignity come from struggle, tension, and pushing things to their limits. A boring life is a meaningless one.
Wow, I can't believe I just answered a question that has puzzled mankind throughout history!

The meaning of life is to find out where you come from, why are you here? & where you go from here?
We are uniquely created by the creator, the God, to serve Him & worship Him.
When we depart from here, all the believers & non-belivers go to a place called the Hades (subterranean)Jesus was there when He died for 3 days. But consist of 2 compartments one for the believer & the other for the non-believer. We will be there until the second comming of Jesus, then we will be judged & crowned according to our works & the non-believer will go to the the lake of fire, the real Hell.
Please read Luke 16: 16-31.
Hope to see you in Heaven

It's up to an individual, really.
Existentialism. I think we are here to test ourselves. See how far we can go in doing something, learning to pick the right paths at every step of the way.
I suppose you'll only find out when you're old and gray and thinking "My life has been so fulfilling"....then leave in peace and go on another journey. If you know what I mean. =)

Life is opportunity from god to live as human not animal (being honorable creature) . And to be free, to choose our destiny in this chaotic, dynamic, unpredictable events in the world. Every one of us, has different aspirations/ life goal that we need to accomplise. Everyone has different/same. But we need to remember, the path is short, we can neither accomplish or ruin it.
There are 4 basic fundamental needs for human to life;~
1.Carrerr (Work) working with people, needed by society
2.Emotion-love,friendships, family, soulmate (partner)
3.Mind- knowledge
4.Material (physical needs) food and wealth
if you talk about faith- thats God authority. If God doesnt allow you, you cant move to that direction.
And no Good/Bad luck please...

It can be found sometimes within,
Or inside the seemingly most insignificant thing.
Mists of water in a rainbow,
The northern lights and how they glow.
Bringing a smile to anothers face,
A mother and child in warm embrace.
The majesty of nature with all it's power,
Rescuing the princess from the ivory tower.
It's what you deem it to be,
Oftentimes vauge in it's simplicity.
But if you can rise and keep a smile everyday,
And do your best to pass more on, along the way,
Even when trouble and strife have made you their prey,
And all you seem to find is trouble and dismay....
If that smile remains,
Others that have betrayed you for their ill gotten gains,
Will meet karma one day and suffer their just reward of pains.
Peace with all is what you'll attain.
It's what we make it....
Most serve power and $ and choose to forsake it...
Never realizing those who seem weak giving foolish smiles,
Are the most content and assured a reward of living in "style."
Poetry aside...
meaning of life???In this world and day and age??? $$$$$$$=power
=less bullsh*t=less...yet somehow, more stress
=shortened lifespan
=short stressfull life
=can't take it with you
=the realization you've squandered your short time upon this little blue marble foolishly.

The meaning to life comes from understanding a meaningless life..... life is useless if it has no purpose and meaningless if it is not peaceful. Thus, it is peace and purpose that give meaning to life..... peace brings stability and purpose brings dynamism..... this entire universe is governed by dynamic balance and it is this same dynamic balance that gives meaning to life.

Misery, pain and death! And the latter being the release from this prison. Unless of course you or your parents are rich then it's the pursuit of happiness.
