A fascist is an adherent of Fascism.

Fascism
1) is a system of government
3) has stringent socioeconomic controls
4) suppresses opposition through terror
5) is nationalistic
6) is racist

The Pope is an adherent of Catholicism

Catholicism
1) is a religion (not a government)
3) has no socioeconomic controls but active encourages justice and charity
4) suppresses opposition by teaching the truth
5) is not nationalistic
6) is not racist

By these definitions, the Pope is not a fascist, much less a religious one.

The Present Pope may not be a religious fascist but he is certainly ruffling the feathers of a lot of his flock as well as other religious entities with his edicts and near sighted decision making.
