how would the world be without the automobile?

Well that would be easy for me to do, and I would love it! You see every year, when my kids were young, we used to go to Montana every year for two weeks, for vacation! That is where my wife was from, up in the mountains around Missoula! We would go up in the mountains, and spend the whole two weeks up there without coming back down ! We didn't use the camper pickup for anything! We cooked all our food, slept in tents, fished, and hunted with bows! We never even used a watch! And that was the closest I have been to being without the use of an automobile, and I loved it! My brother-in-law even showed us how to backpack on horses, and we would go even further up into the mountains! I can imagine living like that, it was really relaxing, and I enjoyed a feeling of total freedom!
