I was reading some Harry Potter questions and a theory popped into my head. Tell me what you guys think about it...

When Voldemort came back in GoF, did he use a horcrux? If he did, could that have been the locket? I got to thinking, if he didn't use a horcrux, how did he become full-bodied?
Had Voldemort already used the locket horcrux, could he have made up the note? If he did, that would be a trap for that person that found the fake, because it would send them on a life-long search. They Probably wouldn't find any others because they were too busy looking for the locket. It would drive them insane.

It's nothing set in stne, just an idea.

When Voldemort came back in GoF he didn't use a horcrux. He was a fragment that had first possessed Quirrel back in SS then once "defeated" by Harry ran off to gain back his strength. Considering that his soul has been split into 6 other different pieces it was kind of difficult for him survive.
RAB destroyed the locket Horcrux. RAB is believed to be Sirius's brother Regulus Black. Who was said to have been killed by Voldemort or the Death Eaters after he betrayed them. This betrayal is believed to be the destorying of the Locket Horcrux.

To make a horcrux, you must first commit murder which will tear your soul. You are then able to place a piece of your soul into the horcrux while the rest of your sould remains in your body. If your body is destroyed, you become little more than the bit of your soul that still resides within. So Voldemort did not need to use a horcrux to get his body back.

R.A.B. who 'found' the locket horcrux could be Regulus Black - Sirius' death eater brother who is believed to have been murdered by voldemort. but is he really dead?
if voldemort did need a horcrux to return in GofF, maybe it was harry's scar. if the scar was a horcrux, that might explain the link between harry and voldemort, and why he shares some of his powers. a horcrux is made when you kill - voldemort killed harry's parents just before he gave him the scar. and in halfblood prince dumbledore does say that he thought that voldemort was still one horcrux short at the time he killed harry's parents. it may or may not have been intentional at the time but harry, or at least his scar, could be a horcrux.
