Hugo was a great player, but he sucks as a coach. OSWALDO DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE THE 1ST GOALIE!!! HE SUCKS! HES LOST IT!!! Anyone that doesn't see that is either blind or a dumbass.
Why the hell are Cacho, Israel Castro, Fausto Pinto, and Jaime Correa in the starting team!?!? They haven't shown anything to deserve to be "titulares".
If you're already losing 3-0 and there's 15 minutes left, make a SUB!!! Change something up. Don't put Bravo or Pineda... they didn't do crap.
We the ability to accomplish great things... all we need is a coach with at least HALF a brain.

Yes Argentina was better, but that's not the only reason we lost. We played BAD. End of story. I don't know where you people get that we played well, even in the first half. We played HORRENDOUS. Aside from 2 chances from Guardado and that one close one from Nery, we had NOTHING. Mexico played really bad, end of story.

I hate this attitude..."We lost move on...Suck it up...think of what's coming next." Yes we have to move on, but we also have to stop and examine what went wrong. If we just take this attitude of we lost, boo hoo, get over it move on, THEN NOTHING GETS RESOLVED. We need to see what went wrong and change it. If something is not working how can we just continue as if nothing happened?

Blaming someone on a defeat is easy, i think everyone should take their blame in the lost, surely Oswaldo made a mistake today but he has the level to be #1 as a goalie. I think that Memo Ochoa IS going to be next WC goalie for mexico but taking it to a frenzy for a good game is not good. Or have u forgotten that he costed his team the Championship? Nery gave a great Copa America but in this game the thought he was going to play with a team as Paraguay.
Cacho had many assists and helped a lot in the offense, good offensive players doesnt necesarily score a lot of goals..
Fausto Pinto had a better attitude than most of the "good players" that are in europe (except Marquez of course) and he was praised by lots of people.
Israel Castro, that one i give you, he has the heart but not the speed or the technic no be in the national team, but as they answered above, who can cover that position?
And Excuse me but if u really paid attention to the games Jaime Correa did a very good job, he was above Pardo and he really mixed well with Torrado.
Yes the changes were aweful, but strategies work at times. Hugo is not the best, but taking all the blame is not fair.
That is precisely the problem with us mexicans, we rant and ***** and try to find a scapegoat, lets face it we were a bit overmatched by the best team in this cup. And we couldnt score when we had the chance.

Time, patience and he has to recognize that the has to swallow his pride and arrogance a little.
Oswaldo still deserves to the goalie until Ochoa learns to be a field leader and motivates his team mates.
Cacho, Pinto and Correa haven´t you seen them play with Pachuca??? Pinto got nervous, made a mistake (coverage on the first goal) and will learn from it. Correa and Cacho (as well as Pinto) are very disciplined players and might need to adapt to Hugo´s style.
Israel Castro, Messi was not able to do much on his side might be getting older but is part of a process with Hugo since Pumas so he could be one to be part of a team that brings order and discipline.
I will say just cool off a little and learn from what happened because it will happen with whichever is coaching the team (I am hoping that it doesn´t happen this often but we have to recognize the level that we have, I am proud to say that we can be or are the 3rd team in all America and will continue for a while behind Brazil and Argentina and could defeat them ocassionally)

Yeah, Cacho, Castro, Pinto, and Correa have been performing well until this game. They are inexperienced at the international level and it will take time. There really wasn't any alternative to them since Pardo, Osorio, and Salcido weren't on the roster. The changes Hugo made really had nothing to do with the loss. They would have lost anyway since Argentina is better. The only questionable thing was putting Sanchez at goalie since it was Ochoa's turn in the rotation. He should have put in Memo anyway because he is younger, better, and he needs the experience.

Why didn't you complain when these players started against Paraguay and went on to beat them by 6 to nothing.
Another thing is
"If you don't want Cacho, Israel Castro, Fausto Pinto, Bravo, Pineda and Jaime Correa playing, then who should've played??"
People always have to find someone to blame when they loose against probably the best team in the universe.
Mexico is NO match for Argentina and last night's game was a reality check for you guys.
You don't have to fire anyone, just keep improving and my final words of wisdom will be: SUCK IT UP!!!

hey he is a coach sometimes they make mistake but if you really know soccer then you would know that when you are losing you put in more forward so that you will have a better chance of scoring and that is what hugo did you can't just pull back the players that basically giving the win up and the reason why Cacho, Israel Castro, Fausto Pinto, and Jaime Correa because pavel, osorio, and salcido are taking time off to rest and i rather would have liked to see omar start from the beginning than Cacho and i would have liked better for ochoa to have started because i have more trust in him but hugo probably based his judgement of picking oswaldo because he has more experiance and he can stay much more calmer than ochoa but i think ochoa would have done better

Who ever asked this question must be a Chivas fan!!! which would be a good reason to complain of those players!!! but in case you did not know two of the four players mentioned are close to signing european contracts!!! that is how much they suck!!! what do you want Maza in the back!!! he sucks
but anyway mexico lost because of bad coaching and that is something we can at least agree on!!! Maybe your an America Fan and that maybe a reason you don't like oswaldo??? He is still the best goalie in Mexico and I don't like his ***!!!

Take the lost and move on. Mexico was lucky to beat Brazil. Not really, the goalie save you guys in that match. They had none last night.
Argentina was the heavy favorite to win the whole tournament and you saw last night why. As much as I hate Hugo, I say the worst is behind him. All he needs to do is qualify for the 2010 WC. He should have no problem doing that in the weak CONCACAF.

I've been one of Hugo's harshest critics. I do not pin this lost on him. Argentina is just too good of a team.
Mexico played well in the first half, had their chances and those don't come back. Argentina keeps coming and coming. Eventually something has got to give and you saw it... Too much of a team.
Look who Argentina brought off the bench...Gago, Palacios (who missed the 4th goal), Aimar...and he had more to choose from off the bench...
This one doesn't fall on Mexico, the coach, its players or fans. Mexico didn't lose this game. Argentina beat them soundly. That's all there is to it.
Mexico got beat by a better team.

look mexico had a great copa america but theres players who where really disappointment for almost the whole copa like omar, bofo, medina, correa, look mexico has the talent but we keep sticking to the same thing look at bravo bofo and kikin Borgetti none of them played good this whole summer but yet they still played but on the other hand players like castro, cacho, castillo, arce, ochca, magallón,guardado. proved in there own ways that they belong there besides Argentina had every star posible i believe if we had pardo, salcido, osorio, and galindo this what have not happened but stop bitching it waz good copa america now focus on the under 20 team they need some love to.
