Does anyone know of a speech contest open to ameteurs?

I enjoy writing speeches and i was wondering if it was possible for me to win scholarships. The only problem is i don't belong to a club.

I suggest contacting some local schools. H.S. and college speech and debate teams organize a lot of events.
4-H has toastmaster clubs in some locations and many communities have yearly essay projects.
If all else fails, start your own group. You might check with your church or public library. Good luck!
