I know that a link opened for freight a while back between the two countries. Is it possible to use this line to travel between Central Asia and the Middle East?

I know it's late to answer but recently tow governments made a railroad between them which connects Iran to Turkmenistan and then Kazakhstan. It starts from Golestan Province(Iran) to the common border with Turkmenistan
which is called "Inche borun". I heard some news that some passengers from Turkmenistan has come.

Hi
there is only one rail linked between Iran( Mashhad city) and Turkmenistan( Ashgabat) . but it is not for passengers!
only Bus and flights are available
