Dad because I hardly see him. Its kind of sad that I don't have a good relationship with either. I wish I did

My dad's been gone for 12 years and my mom is still alive. I do a lot of things with my mom on some weekends to keep her company, but I always had a better relationship with my dad. We seemed to have similar personalities and interests. Whereas my mom, even though I'm her daughter, she's hard for me to figure out.

With my mom. My dad died from liver cirrohis three years ago, but prior to his death, we didn't have much of a relationship.
My dad left when I was 5, he was an alcoholic.
To people who say a kid need two parents, I don't agree. I only had my mom growing up, and she provided me with all that I needed. I didn't have the most expensive things in the world, but I had the love of a mother who was good to me.
If my dad had stuck around, my life would have been harder, his drinking not only turned him into a abusive husband, but a absent dad most of the time.

I have a good relationship with both. I don't think I have a better relationship with one more than I do the other.

Its depends on what we would be talking about.
Cause, I am closer to my dad in some areas & my mum in some areas to.
Like with guys.
My dad doesn't mind me dating. As, long as my brother knows them hes cool. What my bro is wayyy cool.
My mum hates every idea of me dating at 13.
Okieee.
&& then theres other areas of my life i feel comfortable with one or the other.
Plus, My parents are split.
&& live in two different countries.
England && America.

It's about 50/50. I'm really lucky in that my parents are pretty open to most things compared to a lot of people of their generation. Even if they don't agree with me, they always have an ear to lend.

My Mom, because she's the only one who truly understands me. My Dad--God blees his soul--he had these expectations for me that I didn't quite live up to, but he never gave up on me.
