Bees are capable of seeing ultraviolet light, which is invisible to humans. The bee is capable of navigating, even on a cloudy day, by cloud-penetrating ultraviolet light. Honey bees also use the sun as a reference point to communicate to other bees
Bees use the sun as a compass. Even when the sun is obscured by clouds, bees can detect it's position from the light in brighter patches of the sky
It is only worker bees which are capable of finding their way back using their sense of smell. their eyes can locate objects only within a range of 1 metre.
The queen bee makes a flight outside the nest only at the time of reproduction & settle elsewhere on the way.
The drones , once they leave the nest during reproduction never return to the nest as they are killed.
