I can't find a really reason of why women wear bras. They say the bra supports them breasts and prevents them to sag, but I heard it can guide to breast cancer. Wouldn't it be better to go braless for your health? Tell me a really reason of why women wear bras.

First point: I am sure you will get some woefully ignorant individuals who will say something like "hey, stupid, bras don't cause breast cancer."

They are right. Toxins cause breast cancer.

Bras only trap the toxins in the breasts for long enough that they cause the carcinogenic reactions that lead to breast cancer.

Those who tell you that bras do not cause breast cancer are as wrong as those fools who said that smoking did not cause lung cancer back in the 40's and 50's.

Second point: Breasts that are allowed to mature naturally (meaning without a bra) will HANG; breasts that are not allowed to mature will SAG.

Third point: In many surveys, the reason a woman gives for why they did not go bra-free was because of their concern about the reactions from OTHER WOMEN.

I work in/with the medical industry, with a lot of men who deal with women's breasts. The male-dominated medical industry deals, in many cases, with breasts, not women. So things that allow these men to do more with breasts are more important than healing the woman.

EDIT>

Sorry, "pinkribbon," but the stats are the insult, not me. Global stats show a positive correlation between bra wearing and breast cancer. There are over 2,000,000 cases -- enough for clear conclusions to be made. That we do not have this relationship screaming from the front page has more to do with $$$ than women's health. And before you slam ME, go back and research how the tobacco companies, their legal staff, and the AMA back in the 40's and 50's about how the connection between tobacco and various kinds of cancers were being slammed.

I'm sorry you got breast cancer. Don't shoot the messenger. What I am saying (and what many in the medical industry already KNOW to be true) will become obvious soon enough.

As a woman who has had breast cancer, I have read up a lot about the disease.I can tell you that wearing bras has nothing to do with cancer, it's the genetic make up of a person that determines cancer, not the wearing of bras.

EDIT>
Photo Nurse, you are an insult to me and other breast cancer patients.
There is also no link or evidence about aluminum in ant-perspirants to cause cancer.Believe me, when I was diagnosed with B/C I asked many questions.I am a member of a few B/C forums where this sort of hysteria comes around now and then.
If any of you have real worries about B/C, please don't hesitate to ask a true professional.
Anyone could claim to be an expert on here, and to accept their advice is very dangerous indeed.

Well, its true about the sagging, and support. But also with out bras you could see...a little more of your breasts....you know?? But your breasts do need to go bra-less at times. I suggest at night when you go to bed. And I would ALWAYS wear a bra in public.

Women wear bras for comfort in social norms & prevent breasts from sagging. These also make perfect shapes of a women's breast for looking attractive.

There are no links to bras and breast cancer. Rumors.

Bras are great for support.

Bras do not cause breast cancer. We wear them to support our breasts. Some may be saggy anyway, but if we didn't wear bras they would be really saggy. It's to keep them up top and attractive looking.

Well, depending on the size of the breasts and the tasks done- it can hurt to have the breasts bouncing around.
Loose breasts can attract unwanted attention - before bra there were breast bands that held them down.
"guide to breast cancer" who came up with that one.

There is no proof that bras cause breast cancer, but there is no benefit to wearing one other than aesthetics.
