I formed my LLC on the internet. It took about 30 minutes, total. The only reason it took that long was because I put the horse before the cart. You visit your states' Secretary of State site and start there. Decide what name you want and find out if that name is available, then reserve it. It only cost about $125.00 to do it myself over the internet. I also got a couple of books from the library, Complete Idiot's Guide to Law for Small Business Owners, Stephen M. Maple.and howe to Start a Business in Georgia, Charles T. Robertson, II. There is a wealth of info out there. Just take some time and get started!

Have the LLC controlled via an accountant in yet another state and set up residency there. A legal professional can inform you person-friendly procedures to do each and every of the workplace work and what the information are for the state you verify the LLC in.

There are proxies that can be hires to do this. Visit the Delaware Secretary of State and you'll find links to help you. Nevada is better in my opinion. But why an LLC?

What's wrong with the state you live in? I formed an s-corp in my state (not Nevada or Delaware), and it works out great. We actually do a few projects for the state, and wouldn't be able to if we weren't registered here.

From what I've heard the answer is Nevada,,,for ease of set up, no state sales tax, its a very employer friendly, right to work state and it has Area 51. If that is where the government goes to spend all the black budget dollars and hide their dirty secrets it is probably a good place to put your money and business too, right?
