1) Move a stone foundation that measures 40’ x 30’ plus an addition wall 20’ long with it’s height varying from 3’ to 6’ to an area about 50’ away and create/build a 3’ high wall for as long as it will extend and level the area where the stone foundation orginally was?

2) Leave the walls as they are using rocks from taller areas to build up the lower area, creating a level foundation and then filling the foundation to make a patio?

# 1 is definitely more expensive . I'd guess # 1 is 3days work , for 2 people .

#2 is a one day job , at most , with 2 people , maybe even with one .
Keeping in mind I haven't seen it , but would guess # 1 costs at least 3x #2 .

Your question is a little confusing, but I'd think the more expensive option is clearly the first one. Essentially, you are asking them to move and rebuild a large foundation as opposed to just building one. That takes a lot more effort, labor, and time.

At the end of the day, you are paying an outside service for materials, labor and time. The first requires lots of labor and time to remove and move all the stone, etc. Both then require additional materials, labor and time to complete the jobs.

Hope it helps!
