I went to Gettysburg and captured quite a few pics and am wondering if anyone else has ever gotten pictures like that.

Yes I have. I've gotten them with film cameras, but I seem to get them more with digital cameras. That is because of the greater depth of field of digital cameras, making it more likely to capture diffuse reflectance off a microscopic water drop or dust particles.

Why would a ghost be spherical, anyway? We've got claims of "shadow people", claims of human-like apparitions, and lots of photographs (of dubious integrity) purporting to show human-like figures of ghosts, but now we have other paranormalists claiming that spirits are not human shaped but spherical like a beachball! Which is it? Pick one and go with it!

I used to get them a lot. But my favorite camera has a lens hood and I cant seem to get orbs with it.
Orbs are caused by particles close to the lens. The lens hood shades the particles, preventing the sun or flash from reflecting off them.
About 8 years ago when I started photography I noticed orbs, before I knew they were supposed to be spirits. I experimented and noticed that the flash was illuminating the dust very close to the lens. I could actually see the pattern of the orbs in the photo if i looked there.

Yes I have, quite a lot of photos but I concluded that not all of them were orbs. A single photo I took 4 years ago, inspired me to experiment on orbs a bit (well, not ORBS but experimentation with the camera - which is a digital).
From my experimentation, I concluded that not all orbs WERE orbs because dust, rain, lighting and oil also created the same effected of orbs. In total, I only have about 6 photos that are truly unexplainable – the rest have been easily mistaken ones produced by the environment I’ve been taking photos in.
I'll just suggest being careful when you try to note down orbs, their shape is really important when it comes to distinguishing between real orbs and fake ones. Digital cameras capture a lot of them because their shutter speed is greater, and result in crisper photos. But they are also prone to capturing/reflecting the flash light off dust, raindrops, oil, water, metal and even sunflares/lightflares.

Yes in fact I have, but they are not considered to be "actual orbs" depending on what paranormal expert you are talking to.
I have caught pictures with orbs in them that started at the top center of a picture and slowly move to the dead center of the picture, and then right in front of the camera, and then right through me. I have the picture of right before the "ORB" passed right through me and it looks nothing like an orb, it is a mist here is the link: http://www.rockislandparanormal.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=4nAlbum&file=index&do=showpic&pid=1&orderby=date
We have Orb pics in our gallery on our paranormal website only because they are different than "DUST ORBS" that almost everybody catches, and our opinion is different than most on this even though people could probably pick the pics apart!

Yes, I have tons of photos of orbs that surround my family. Most of the time they are captured during the holidays. These were the only times that all of got together. I have since found out that these orbs were those of my deceased parents. They were present at all of my sisters and I weddings, and now I get them around my daughter when I take her picture. I love to capture them, and share them with others in the family. It is reassuring to us, to know that our loved ones are still around us.

Yes, but I don't believe in ghosts.

I had two digital cameras. One broke for no reason, the other took a picture of the "spirit orb."

That orb owes me $600 bucks!

Seriously, I've taken over a thousand pictures and I only had it happen once. I have no idea what caused it.

I have tons of pictures with orbs. For some reason I seem to get a lot of them in my attic or right after I've dusted.
