I'm doing an overnight shift at the homeless shelter where I work- as the clinical director, there's plenty of paperwork to do, but there's going to come a point....

Keep it clean, people! Also, instant messenger doesn't work here (nor does youtube) so I'm internet limited.

I'm right there with you, but i work night shifts everyday. What i do when i start dosing off is:

1. wet my face - the cold air revitalizes me
2. i create a side project like a craft project - takes my mind off my job for a minute, like a lil break.
3. i email someone whats on my mind - it clears my thoughts so i could get back to work.
4. i take a small 2-3 min walk - gets the blood pumping back to my extremities.

Another good one is to work standing up instead of sitting down, and jogging in place while you work.
Lots of coffee does not always work. Too much coffee will make you sleeper instead of keeping you awake..
For energy eat lots of fresh fruits, vitamin E, and vitamin B.
Stop every few minutes and walk around, do jumping jacks, step ups. and incline push ups .

Soak wash cloth with cold water out of the fridge, water cool or drinking fountain and wash your whole head with it.

Hope that helped have pulled a lot of all nighters myself.

just get a spray bottle fill it up with water and spray yourself when you feel your lids droopings...or you can always use pepper spray
