Glad to see a realistic 13 year old. You're right, it's very unlikely to happen. BUT...you can still be an actor. You can get all of the enjoyment that comes with it. Just none of the money. What others have said is right. You can act in theater. You can take classes. Do it for the sheer joy of doing it. If you get good enough like that you may be able to get yourself a real agent and get some auditions. Maybe make a few dollars and who knows? You sound like you want to act because you want to act. Not to get famous. You just dream about it like everyone else. It's healthy to dream, as long as you know it's just a dream. I say first thing tomorrow call some local theaters and ask if they give or know of any classes or workshops for kids. If they don't find someplace that does. I think you should do it! Good luck! And I gave you a star for being smarter than 99.999% of the kids your age.

this was something i told someone earlier

are you nearby a city with a theater?
a live theater
not a movie theater
most famous actors started on stage
Orlando Bloom
Robert DeNiro
Gerard Butler
So on and so forth
i act at a theater and i have learned SO much
take acting lessons
get experience
write a resume
get headshots
and try for an agent
agents help you get roles
BIG ones at that
but like i said from the start
get some experience!

Well for starters i would say just go out and audition! Look for upcoming shows that need casting! Prepare a at least one song and monologue and whatever the casting director there wants you to. Be sure to learn them well. Prepare them for the audition and be prepared to present.
Do you have any experience? Well get it all ready in your head so that when the audition comes up you be prepared if they ask you.
You dont necessarily need an agent or a degree. When and if you get really BIG you can worry about an agent. And the majority of actors out there do not have theater degrees.

have you ever acted with ANYTHING before?
stage?
commercials?
something?
if not, im afraid the chance is slim

you need an AGENT
for everything you stated
you need TALENT
which i dont know if you have
you need headshots
a video with you performing 2 monologues
and a resume
work on that first
without it, no ones gonna take you seriously

GET A RESUME TYPED UP!!!

sorry if some things out of it arent relevant to your question

Hope i helped!

Hi,

To know what you're getting yourself into as an actor, to see what you will need to do to get off to a successful start and to avoid the pitfalls that many young actors create for themselves AND to answer this very same question that comes up at least 2-3 times a day, I have created a free 28-page ebooklet that you can download on my site. It's called: What It Takes To Become An Actor. Just go to http://www.actingcareerstartup.com... , sign in and you can download it for free.

Hope that helps!

First off, you'd be an actress, a'ight? Just wanted to cover ya there. Anyway, yeah start off onstage and stuff, real small stuff; If ya do good, you might end up gettin' a decent actin' career. If you do, put in a good word for me, 'cuz I'd friggin' kill to be an actor, too...

Try out for local theater first, and then once you start doing that, maybe get an agent and see what he (or she) can do for you. I know a friend of mine started out this way and got to be in the "King of Queens" show.

First you'd have to get some experience by being in school plays. Then, if you seem to have ability, you would need to get an agent, move to where there is work, and keep gaining experience until you get a professional job.

Well, I used to be a member of a theater club in my high school. We underwent workshops and training which all about acting. I better say it helped a lot..
