There are really a lot of options. It depends on when you are going, how long you want to stay, and what type of camping (or not-camping!) you are comfortable with. Anywhere you stay in Yosemite Valley has very easy access to all the points of interest in the Valley. All types of overnight accomodation are in high demand, so you will have to make reservations far in advance.

I love House keeping. Known as The Curry camp ground. This is an area right in the Valley that has a combination of Tent and Building with power and built-in bbq's etc. Its right by the river and is one of my favorite places in the world.
As far as hotels go... the Tenaya Lodge is one of the old Grand lodges and is very nice. It will remind you of the old park system but has been updated as far a rooms etc.
The Ahwahnee Lodge
is a National Historic Landmark and one of the most distinctive resort hotels in North America, The Ahwahnee is well known for its great granite façade, striking beamed ceilings, massive stone hearths, richly-colored Native American artwork and finely appointed rooms.
Featuring 123 rooms, comprised of 99 hotel rooms, parlors and suites and 24 cottages, this Yosemite National Park lodging masterpiece offers a perfect balance of history, hospitality and elegance. It's no wonder that for generations this AAA® Four-Diamond grand hotel has been the destination of queens and presidents alike.
Yosemite Inn is a good hotel but more modern. The Redwoods gives you the opportunity to stay in various log cabins. From top class modern to older western style. all fun places to stay. This is 0ne of the most beautiful places on the planet. Believe me I have been to most of the 1000 places. Yosemite is terrific.
