i am a white female dating a black man and i would like to say that we date because we like each other. i don't think anyone would date someone just to rub it in someones face. That is the last thing i think about. Please try to understand we all are exactly the same. All prejudice is a form of racism, not dating someone that is a skin color is a preference, as is only dating tall guys or muscular guys. But not liking someone else to date a race is racism. I am sure you are more intelligent than alot of people who are on here preaching racism , so be more receptive to others choice. Race mixing is what will change the world,.

Let me just say this....I am a white woman & I am married to a black man. Never have I ever looked at a black woman & thought to myself "HaHa...lookie at what I got!" I married my husband because we truly love each other and we are very happy. I love his family & he loves mine. We respect each other's cultures.
When people come into where I work & see his pictures on my desk, some give me the attitude that you have. Most of the time they are black women & white men. I honestly don't understand this mentality. My relationship with my husband is personal between us....not personal against anyone else.

No. When I do see it, I am kinda surprised though. Different races dating each other is very few and far between where I live. There's nothing wrong with dating people from another race. Each to their own.

Offended? No. Interested in their reasons? Yes, sometimes. However, it has less to do with the color of their skin and more to do with the difficulties they will have to face. It is obvious to others that racism is at the root of your question. Your use of the "opposite race" is also racist. Lack of understanding inter-racial relationships is perhaps the reason you feel affronted. It is always easier to criticize than make an attempt to understand.

There is no such thing as "Opposite Race." There are different races. Racist people and racist laws prevented people from marrying someone from another race earlier in our country's history. Those laws are gone now. You need to ask yourself why you are in favor of what racists wanted years ago. I think it is a healthy sign that Americans are not as hung up on race as they used to be. I hope you can learn to see it that way.

Why do you even allow something like that to even bother you?
I still do not understand why people make such a big deal over skin tone.
Let's say hypothetically if you dated a caucasian man and you really cared for him how would you feel if caucasian women gave you hard time about it and tried to make you feel like you were invading their territory or taking their men?
What would your response be to that?

No. And I don't get offended if I see someone with blue eyes dating someone with brown eyes. Or a redhead dating a blonde. Or a short person dating a tall person. However....it does pi** me off to see a slender girl dating a fat guy.

No, I don't feel offended when I see someone dating outside of thier race; I feel like you should be with whomever makes you happy; race shouldn't matter.

If somebody date somebody in the opposite race, it would not be my business. I would not do it probably but I respect what everybody else like doing and being if they don't hurt anybody . I mean it make no sense that it bothers me. It's their life.
