You can try flushing out the sinuses with warm saline solution - 1 cup warm water + 1/4 teaspoon salt (regular table salt). You can add 1/4 tsp. Sodium bicarb to that solution if your nose gets irritated. To get the liquid in the sinuses you can buy a neti pot or just use something that pours easily like a small teapot or a measuring cup ( I used to use an old clean contact lens solution bottle). Tip your head to the side a bit and breath out slowly through your mouth - then pour in a bit of the saline - tip your head down and let it drain out...Sounds and feels weird at first but you get used to it quickly. I first did it when I had sinusitis when I was pregnant and couldn't take meds - worked like a charm.

It also works especially well if you can steam your face for 5-15 min. before you do it - helps loosen everything up. Just boil a pan of water and breath in the steam - it helps to keep a towel over you head. Also - in the shower it's easy to run the warm water over your face for a few extra minutes and make sure you breath through your nose to get the steam up to your sinuses.

Good luck - hope you feel better soon!

2 parts Echinacea root, 2 parts peppermint leaf, 2 parts yarrow flower, 1 part elder flower and berry, 1 part ginger root, take 500 mg vitamin C, 50 mg Zinc. Keep in mind that these doses are more than the daily allowance and should only be taken for the duration of your symptoms.
You can get your herbs from www.dandesoap.com fresh or go to contact page and ask my friend to make this blend together so you can brew the tea yourself. She'll tell you to drink the tea up to three times per day.
Also, Grapefruit seed extract can be bought at local health food store and drug store. It's a cure for sinus infections. If you are have bouts with sinus, allergies and such, ask her about the system building herbs and want to use to strengthen your system so you don't have to deal with the mess. Best of luck. I hate sinusitis and I pretty much don't deal with it anymore thanks to her.

Try inhaling warm salt water to clean out your sinuses and get rid of infection. Ingest a teaspoon of local honey at least once a day to get rid of the irritants that promote your sinus problem. Honey is good for allergies, stops the occurrance of colds and flu as well.

Switching from mucus generating dairy products and red meat to soy milk and white meat would help.
