We have had this hole in the sink for the past few weeks. No water is leaking out, but there is a whole about the size of a pinky finger in teh middle of the basin. What is the best way to fix it and still have the sink look presentable?
God bless, and Thanks

Go to advanced auto, get a fiberglass repair kit, a small one. Follow directions, it's not hard, once the hole is filled and sanded smoothly, then get a small can or bottle of porcelain repair paint (Home Depot) and spray or paint it on.

I have ceramic sinks in my Mexican Casa. They are beautiful and match the design of the surrounding tiles. I could not afford something like this in the States. But with the last bathroom each time 'they' tightened the metal plug hole, to the drain (U pipe) it cracked the bowl of the sink, this happened 4 times. I had to keep buying a new one. So maybe it is cheaper in the States after all, as you can put the owness on the contractor. But here in Mx. they use, I think it is called, Polyurethane, in tubes with a plunger. But it does not look good. I vowed I would buy a metal, hammered aluminium, one next time. The
Advanced Auto and Home Depot, the fibre glass kit sounds perfect, I should get it next time I'm in the States.

if its just a chunk of the porcelain knocked out, the only way to fix it is to use touch up paint sold at home improvment stores. But presentable? Thats for you to decide. Or, just replace it.
