Ok well I don't know what happened, but I keep throwing up. It must have been something I ate after work. Out of nowhere I feel there urge to vomit, and I can only hold it in so long. I'm afraid it won't go away. If it doesn't go away, when should I call in? Before 11 AM, or after 2 PM? I'm scheduled to come in at 4, and since I work at KFC, I'm sure they don't want someone sick coming in.

But, I have the next three days after that off that my boss got for me. Is it still okay to call in sick?

If you are still sick in the morning, call before 11 so they have time to get someone else for the shift.

If you're really sick, then you're sick and you can't help it. But realize this might be looked at as maybe just an excuse to stretch out your time off. If it's the only time it's happened, then they'll probably believe you. But if you happen to get sick at the time of two or three stretches off, be prepared for them to doubt it.

Edit: I just looked at your other questions tonight, and see that you are just planning to lie to get an extra day off. That isn't very responsible. If you've done this sort of thing before, or don't have pretty high credibility with your boss, don't be surprised if you get fired. If you get caught lying under these circumstances, they'll almost surely fire you.

Honestly, whats the big deal?! Your obviously sick, just call in sick. It'd make a lot more sense then actually going to work and puking all over kentucky fried chickens!

Call in the sooner the better and ask the manager what she thinks you should do. Let her know you'll come in but explain the problem. It would better if you can get her to admit you should stay home.

Since you work in food service, your customers certainly will not want you working whether your boss does or not.

Call in as soon as you know you're unable to work. Give them as much time as possible to find a replacement.

If you need to call in you should call in before11am that way they would have plenty of time to find someone to fill in your position. I would also tell your manager if your feeling better you will call by 2pm.

If you are throwing up, call in that morning. It looks too sketchy if you call later in the day.
