The feeling of having a life growing inside your body, giving birth to that child, and the indescribable feeling of breastfeeding those children, then to have them say dada first and have them think that mom is too strict and they go to dad. Then one day that child carries a life inside her body, etc. ...and they come back and tell you just how much they underestimated you and how much they love you and..... then they become your best friend. I know this is mushy, but I just got my first grandson and that made it alll worth it.
