No. I don't believe giving " bad guys" weapons and ammo will mean they will begin doing good things with them. They most likely would kill innocent people or join the other bad guys. We have enough bad guys to take care of already, we don't need to release the ones we already have caught and convicted. I believe in the case of life sentence a more prudent solution is to give them a rope, and empty cell, and 1 meal a day. In time, they will figure out, what do to with the rope.

I think it's a great idea...as long as you don't give them parachutes and all the gun barrels are filled with lead.
