Why is it that animals tend to get pregnant...?

Faster than it takes a human being?

You can put 2 dogs in a cage...and in 1 week time, the female would be pregnant.

if you put 2 people together, and they have sex a lot. it would be harder for them to get pregnant.

why?

let see if i can explain this in so ya under stand. most female animals can only conceive when they are in heat and will only come in heat one or two times a yr. and can not conceive unless she is in heat.
in the case of a dog, a male dog, like me and probable you stays in heat 365 days of the year. but a female only comes in once every 6 months , and will stay in heat for 30 days. but she will only conceive about the last 3 or 4 days. the rest of the time she will just spread that smell around and draw a crowed so shes got several old boys to chose from. she will let them fight over it, she will let them dry hump it, but if they git close to nailing the old glory hole she will sit on it.kind of like some women I've known. touchy lickiey but no pokiey.
now a human female is a hole different story.
just like us men they stay in heat 365 days of the yr. too .
they just don't like to let us know it.
it's about the only way they got to control us.
a woman can conceive once a month. some time around that monthly cycle. a few days be for, Dur in or after.
I'm not real sure on that one.
I just kept at it till we had three or four younguns and then she started getting them headaches all the time.
and them two dogs ya seen in that pen doing the wild thing, who ever put them in there together new it was time.
well i hope i satisfied ya curiosity and enlighten ya.
it's late and i got to go and pore some aspirins down my old woman's throat, and see if i can cure that headache.

Probably because when you breed animals you lock them together when they're in heat. If the female is in heat it means she's fertile. That isn't the case with humans. It would take longer for a human couple to get pregnant because the woman is only at the right part of her menstrual cycle to get pregnant some of the time. The human body just isn't set up to get pregnant as efficiently as a dog's. Which makes sense considering we're pretty much the ultimate K strategists.

Also, seriously I bet if a woman is regularly having sex with no contraceptives and no protection she WILL get pregnant pretty quickly.

In the case of animals, the female will only let the male approach her for mating when she is ready to mate ie when she is ovulating and ready to conceive. In nature an ovulating female animal is often persued by many eager males all keen to pass on their genetic features and the male that can do the job quickly is able to father the litter. People, on the other hand usually have one partner at the time and so conception is not a race but a pleasurable experience.

Many reasons. Firstly, smaller animals gernerally has shorter gestation periods. Many primates are found difficult breeders, and they happen to be larger than humans.

Secondly, humans have gone through so many decades of environments and trends affecting their health. Polution, medicines, cleaning products are just a few examples of what can potentially affect a human's dna. Similar to radioactivity. Anyway, many years of exposure could contribute to the heavy amount of incompetant people now a days. Just a theory.

Women can get pregnant just as easily and quickly depending on her fertility, the guys fertility, the right timing, etc.

Just ask any unwed pregnant teenager .

animals dont worry about looks. their basic instincts tell them to make babies. We understand our feelings alot more then animals do and most animals do not need a reason to have sex other then they can.
