Many Pro-Life people also support the war in Iraq which was not justified and has killed over 1/2 a million civilians.

Half a million people killed by terrorists, after a regime who while in power killed over a million people. Considering Saddam was more like Hitler than Bush will ever be, I don't see how this is an unjust war.

That's tricky. I kind of agree with you. People who support war probably have never or never intend to fight in one. The problem is America, has a voluntary defense system. So if the service poeple want to fight then that is their choice same as abortion. If it came to a draft that's different. My feelings are that you have the right to choose either way. If we invade a country like Iraq, and then impose a draft I think that is wrong. However, if we get attacked and need a draft then it's ok. It's like self preservation either way. I hope you get my point and I just thought it was a good question, and like I said I think I agee with you more than I disagree. Just wanted to give you my opinion. After i wrote that I saw your additional details. I totally agree with the abortion thing. The woman should be the one to make the choice about abortion(unless there is a husband is involved. it should be a joint descion), unless its life threatening. This is for manya_sm, What if you were raped by you father and got pregnant, and giving birth to this child of insest would kill you. Would you still not have an abortion?

Well, you've stated an opinion as fact. Where do you get the numbers for all those deaths. Are you saying the US has directly killed a half million? I think not

Yes, the ability to reconcile specific beliefs that may, at a higher level of abstraction, conflict is what keeps us sane. :-)
