I'm wondering how powerful my amp is: 180W, 60Hz, 115V.

One of the critical parameters that you need to know is the sensitivity of you speakers. A value of around 95 dB/watt measured at 1 meter is typical.
The output will then be approximately 95 + 10log(180)dB = 95+22.6 or 117.6 dB at 1 meter.
This is equal to the noise level on the ramp beside a jet engine
In my personal experience I have seen this level of sound pressure actually crack windows!
cheers

The further you are from the speaker, the fewer decibels you will measure. Obviously, sound volume diminishes with distance.

If we assume that your speaker is 100% efficient at converting electrical energy into sound energy (which is not realistic), and you are standing 1 meter from the speaker, which emits sound equally in all directions (also not realistic), then the volume will be...

The surface area of a sphere with a 1-meter radius is
A = 4*pi*r^2
A = 4*pi*(1 m)^2
A = 12.57 m^2

So, the sound intensity 1 meter away would be
S = W/A
S = (180 W) / (12.57 m^2)
S = 14.32 W/m^2

Decibels are a logarithmic scale that compares the loudness of a sound to the loudness of the quietest sound a (typical) human can hear:
dB = 10*log[S / s0]
dB = 10*log[(14.32 W/m^2) / (0.000000000001 W/m^2)]
dB = 10*log[1.432 * 10^13]
dB = 10*13.16
dB = 131.6

So, your speaker would generate about 132 decibels at a distance of 1 meter.

Yea, I agree with Audiovolt, I'd bet on the Kicker all the way. Solobarics were awesome 10 years ago and they still are today.
