They do me. I just sometimes wonder why they are so quiet and what is going on in their mind. I hate having to probe people for information. Please share from either side of the fence.

Yes, I am writing as a "quiet" person. Some people are quiet because we have a inner peace which subdues us and we get peace from meditating on positive things. And I have people tell me they don't like me because I am quiet and they don't know what I am thinking. But if you really think about it, quiet people are no more harmful than a person with a big mouth. If you do not like quiet people or hang around them, then who are the people who have hurt you the most in the past, talked about you behind your back, told lies on you, slandered you, hurt your feelings, lied to your face? It is the people who talk alot and are always opening their mouth. So you have to choose between having to probe someone's mind because they are quiet as oppose to sorting out lies from people you do associate and are in your face everyday including family. At least with a quiet person, they will let you know where they stand. If you can't get any information out of them, then leave them alone and stay away from them. That's warning sign. What do you need to probe for? Okay take care and God bless you.

Quiet people don't scare me because I am one of them.If you want to probe a little,I will shed some light for you.If I'm in a bar and theres some guy running his mouth(acting tough and being loud) I sit back (like a cat and wait) maybe he will shut up or maybe he won't.Its like putting pressure in a bottle, theres only so much you can put in until it explodes. So the guys still running his mouth...I calmly get up,walk over to him and put him through a wall and I think nothing of it.So yes,you have every reason to be somewhat fearful of quiet people but you should be okay just as long as you don't provoke us or instigate a situation.

im quiet, quiet people shouldnt scare u. they should only scare u if they have an evil look in their eye like they are plotting something lol. im the quiet type that just likes to be thoughtful, and within my own thoughts sometimes. everyone is different and some people just need to be alone occasionally, and then there are people who can be around people alllll the time and never get tired.

Depending on the age--quiet children maybe insecure, having home problems, or just very observive.
Quiet teens, do concern me a little--they tend to have depression issues or family problems.
Quiet adults maybe people who are just naturally so, or who have learned not speak everything on their minds.

Quiet isn't always bad, or good--just different.

OMG! I hear ya! I met this one guy who took a vow of silence and never talked ever. And what a creepy guy! Man.. it's like they're hiding something really big. And they tend to all have this freakish look on their face too... the way they squint their eyes and stare. I mean, shy people are cute! Don't get me wrong... but people who are really quite are kind of hard to trust. Although I do think that its beautiful to commit a long period of time to silence.

im a very quiet person im open to 3 people and my grandparents...anyways i just sit back and observe people and take notice how loud they are being lol jk. im usually in very deep thought of how things work for example the human body, reflecting on my day, thinking of the big test that is comming up, a funny part of a movie, the meaning of life, mostly of my future and what i have to do to accomplish my main goal in life. you try it i was loud and annoying then i grew up now im on the high honors and i act older then my age.

I think quiet people are just shy. Nothing to be afraid of, really. They're probably thinking that they wish someone would talk to them and if you gave them a chance you'd probably find that they're really interesting, smart and funny. And who knows, you may actually become friends with them. So TALK to a quiet person and make their day!

Well I'm quiet when I don't I don't know my surroundings, or the people I'm with. Because I like to know where I'm at and who I'm with before I start to speak. And give them an insight on who i am. But if I know the people I'm real goofy.

That don't necessarily scare me but I'd rather them talk to much because to quiet people make me wonder what they're thinking about me and usually if they talk to much you can tell what they think about you, but I don't really worry about what other people think about me...so no they don't really scare me, those people are probably more litterate and like to write poems and stuff.

No. It's just in some peoples' personalities to be introverts. It doesn't necessarily mean there's something odd going on in their head.
