today when i was driving to work a guy in a van was behind me and blew a tire and did a complete circle around me and went flying into someones lawn and almost hit a house, then he got out and took off running, come to find out he stole the van.

the closest was when i had a bike wreck and sliced my leg open to the bone. they found a huge stick lodged in my helmet that almost went through. good thing i was wearing it, cause before that happened, i was considering going down that hill without my helmet on.

I was in a really bad single car accident(my fault entirely). I went at about 100mph around a really sharp downhill curve in the country, hit a dirt wall on the right side of the road, then hit a culvert on the same side(a culvert is one of those concrete tubes that extend ditches under driveways). That put the car ten or so feet into the air(sideways). I then hit a tree while still in the air, skidded about 30ft on the drivers side of the car in the dirt, and finally stopped. I broke my left clavicle(collarbone) on the door(my shoulder actually bent the door out about 4in before it gave), and my best friend in the passenger seat hit his head on the windshield, got a mild concussion. That day scared the living crap out of me...
And I still miss that poor car...

I can't think of anything that made me come really close to dying but today my wrist almost got slit when I was carrying a frame with four windows. It made a deep indent and a scar right by my wrist. If i carried it a little longer it probably would have slit it open. It sucks

Head on collision. A guy fell asleep and crossed the center lane and hit me w a glancing blow and flipped my truck. I walked away initially, but had to be flown by helicopter to the hospital. I left three days later with no serious injuries. Just some blunt trauma and lacerations. Scary!!!!

I use to work at a convenience store. One night a man came in with a stocking cap over his head and gun. I was working with another girl and he said give me all the money. We opened our cash registers and gave him the money. He said dont u f'ing move. The girl i was working with after giving him the money took off running and ran behind me. Now the man just said dont move. I thought i was gonna die because after she made that sudden move he then had the gun pointed right at me. I was blessed that night.

I am allergic to Darvon. I was in a car wreck and taken to the hospital. I told them I was allergic to Darvon and the nurse gave it to me anyway! Another Doctor realized what was happening to me and gave me a shot that took care of it.

Sorry to hear that..good thing you're ok though.
I had a bad case of pneumonia when I was 10..I almost did die but thankfully made a full recovery.
