Okay, im gettin ready to purchase a PDA for tha first time..its gonna be an upgrade from a sidekick 2...what should i kno before i purchase

Very important ... PDAs don't have the signal strength as regular phones. You will lose 1-2 bars of signal strength, especially with the Palm products, and I suspect with others, too. I had a PDA, and got rid of it because it kept dropping calls.

Make sure you get your provider to agree to a trial period, where you can return it if you're not fully satisfied. And, test the CRAP out of it as quickly as possible!

WiFi comes in real handy, or at least if you dont have it you wish you did.

If you have a windows based computer you should look into a Pocket PC for a PDA. My wife has one thats also a cell phone and that thing rocks. Theres alot more programs for it than my Symbian based cell/PDA. Neither of ours has WiFi and I wish they did.
