It depends upon the laws of your specific state. Yes, it is very possible. Charges do not need to be pressed by your parents if your ages violate the statutory rape laws in your state...the prosecutor can go after him regardless.

From http://www.sexlaws.org/what_is_statutory_rape

Statutory rape charges can be reported and filed by the victim, parents of the victim, professionals in mandatory reporting situations, and in most states they can be raised by the state. California has been a primary example of this filing charges against fathers of pregnant women who are, or were, minors at the time of conception and doing it at the protest of both the women and the parents of the involved parties.

The term "Age of Consent" is a term not found in many state statutes, but rather reflects an absence of prohibition. As used on this website, the age of consent reflects the age at which a person can legally consent to most types of sexual activity with another person. This age varies from 14-18 in all states in the USA with over half the states adopting the age of “16” as the legal age of consent.

They probably could get him in trouble. Im not sure about PA, but i know in most states, that would be illegal. No one can make you have an abortion. Ive known many people to have an abortion, and ill just say..it messed them up bigtime. Im not gonna tell you not to have one, but if you wanna keep the child, do it, and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise. Sorry things had to be this way. You probably didnt know all the stuff you were getting into by having this happen, but its a part of life, you'll make it through.

Yes, I am not sure if all states do it, it could vary by your county or city. Does this guy plan on marrying you? The chances of him going to jail without anyone bringing up charges are slim ( presumably). If he plans to be in your life and this baby's life then things will work out. If he doesn't plan on sticking around and fleeing his responsibility, then he should be arrested. Make sure when you have this child that you file immediately for full custody and child support.

Yes he can be put in jail because he had sex with a minor and he is an adult. The police can and will put him in jail with out without you or your parents pressing charges against the guy. Then he will have to register as a sexual offender when he gets out of jail.

Wow.. are you really in love. I don't know about your state, but in Virginia when you have the baby at the hospital and he's there and they do all the birth certificate stuff. The hospital can have him arrested. Jesus girl. Good Luck.

It's possible. He committed statuatory rape, which is a criminal act. Prison, not just jail.
