I called my friend today, and the phone rang as usual, then as it was getting to his answering machine a loud buzzing noise started. It sounded like, "Meeeeppppp!!!" It wouldn't stop, and his answering machine never kicked in.

So, I called him back, and everything worked out fine. His answering machine kicked in, etc.

Does anyone know what happened the first time? I live in Texas in the area that has had a ton of flooding and I was calling long distance (TN), do you think that had something to do with it?

Just curious.

'Sounds like you got kicked into a fax/dial-up 'net line.

So that means either....

1) He shares his number/line with a fax and/or dial-up line, and had the fax/dial-up line turned on when you called initially.

or

2) Considering the flooding you mentioned, lines got crossed, and you hit upon what I just mentioned (but not his, someone else's).

i'm getting messages like that approximately as quickly as a month from a constrained selection, I on occasion incredibly %. it up. now and lower back little young toddlers making a music and enjoying the piano. comparable heavy respiratory and gurgling and shrieking noises inspite of the undeniable fact that... soooo creepy! I even have verizon; on no account had it take place mid call inspite of the undeniable fact that. My pal thinks this is a "numbers station" relaying coded messages... i think of this is a load of bull, inspite of the undeniable fact that, haha. i think of somebody in all probability has your selection (possibly it was somebody else's, yet they have been given a clean selection) on velocity dial, and sat on their telephone incorrect. it incredibly is the only way i can describe it!
