My Mother's 18 ft Olive tree is dying of "wilt". I need to find a mature replacement to purchase for her.

She lives in Southern CA (the San Fernando Valley), and I hear that some Olive trees may be for sale in the Bakersfield area. I need to know if the trees are delivered and the approx. cost. (Some are as much as 4500.00 ??)

Before purchasing a new olive tree, check the reason for the wilting. You may be wasting your money if the wilt cause is not removed as it will attack the new tree. Normally an olive tree lives for centuries (2000 years old are not rare in the Mediterranean).

Yes, I would much rather be around an 18 year old in the military with a gun than an 18 year old with a beer. If they are in the military, they are taught responsibility and how to properly handle their weapons. An 18 year old cannot be taught how to handle alcohol properly. We would have so many more DUIs and alcohol related deaths if the drinking age was lowered to 18. I must also say that many of the men that I saw go into the military at age 18 came out of the military a whole heck of a lot more mature than they were before they went in. Can you imagine all the young egotistical boys and skanky girls would be in the bars if they lowered the drinking age? Yuck! No thanks!!
