Honestly, it's whenever they are ready for it. When they start getting teeth can play an important part in it.

Usually it is around five and half months to six months of age.
Talk with your pediatrician first. Most babies are started out on baby rice cereal; which is mixed with a little bit of it in the formula. Each of the different food groups is introduced a little each time. This gives time for the baby to get used to eating solids. Don't be tempted to give your baby fruits/ puddings or any others sweets until after your baby has gone through the cereals first, vegetables, and meats (if you choose so) first to find out if your baby is going to have an allergic reaction to any of the foods and plus if you add the fruits second instead of third, you will have a harder time getting your baby to eat their veggies. And if your baby is under 6 months of age or has medical problems; don't start changing your babies food requirements until after you have spoken with the doctor. If you start solids too early your baby will run the change of developing food allergies. Which in some cases can be quite bad.

People Really have a variety of thoughts on this. Four months is a good time to start introducing things. My pediatrician gave us a list, an "order" for bring new tastes into the baby's life, and it worked out So Well for us, we Never had problems getting him to "eat right." I can't remember it exactly now, but it was something like, grean beans, then rice, then squash, then beets, oatmeal... He got so interested in food that it was really fun. I made the mistake of using the bottle to encourage napping, and 1) it rots their teeth, and 2) he got emotionally attached to the bottle, whereas he would have been totally happy eating food! .. . . . . . . . . O.K., I defer to the six months or more people! It's really up to you.!

I started both of my children on rice baby cereal ( really thin ) around 5 months. Then around 9 months I started to introduce single fruits and veggies. When you start baby food you have to do it in an order. like if the first thing you try is green beans, you have to feed baby green beans for at least 3 days before you can introduce a new one. Just in case of allergies.

generally, you start the rice cereal when baby turn 6months and by spoon please. not in the bottle.
and then as 7 months, you can start the baby vegetables (one new food per week) so gradually you can decrease the formula but still has to be within normal range. sorry I forgot how much was it. I think it was still at least 36 ounce per day. but it might various depend on the size of your baby. But I don't think it should go lower than 24 ounces per day even when your baby is eating a lot of solid food.
no honey, egg white, shell fish, and whole milk till one.

It depends on the babie's appetite. My daughter was always full and content with her breastmilk up until about 8 months and that's when I started to give her baby food. My son however, was hungry more often and so I had to supplement baby food to curb his appetite and keep him satisfied. Keep a close eye on how well the formula is keeping your baby satisfied and also consult your doctor.

That is normal. My son is 9months. This is about the time that they take more baby food and less formula. Should be off the bottle by age of one.

its not recomended to feed a baby ANY solids until they are 6 months, and even then only go with cereal for a few weeks and then start to mix in sweet baby food such as fruit.

None of mine seemed to get full after 6 months on boob and formula. Had to give them whatever they could "gum". Also it seemed to help with the teething pain. Try bananas and boiled carrots under supervision.
