Well I would just wear a tampon. That is your best bet. But if you can't then by all means yes wear a pad. But your friends WILL know you are on you period. It will be very obvious. If you get soaking wet the pad with expand and blow up like a balloon. Just try not to get uber wet. Don't go in the pool with a pad though. Please wear a tampon,

Yes. you can even swim. Cold water tends to stop the bleeding temporarily, so be prepared by using a tampon, or put on a pad after you are out of the water (if in a pool), but you have usually about 30 minutes before it may resume.

You cannot go swimming with a pad. You have to use a tampon or menstrual cup or else stay out of the water. Pads are not made for getting wet and you cannot swim without some kind of protection.

I'd go for a tampon just to be safe! Once your pad gets wet your screwed! It wont absorb anything! Try slender lites if it's your first time using tampons. As long as your flows not too heavy this should be fine just make sure the string isn't hanging out(happened when I was young embarrasing!) Good luck have fun and relax!

well,if ur on the "dot",use a waterproof, but very effective tampon, but change it about every 3 hours,or it will get infected, also,if ur bikini is a light color the u can see red, wear a pair dark colored ,thin, but derable,non-see through swim shorts,u'll feel comfortable, and no one will notice, finally, relax, the more u think about it,the worse it will get, trust me

use a tampon that works well. ie: Playtex gentle glide or Tampax pearl. try to get a higher absorbency. DONT wear a pad!!!!!!!!!!! change your tampon at least once every 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. believe me. it works.
