I wouldn`t be a shortcut, so much as an efficient operating system.

When I was young we had a shortcut ...we called it the turkey path. We took this shortcut to save a few blocks on the way to school or just down to the main street.

It was a great shortcut, there was an abandoned reservoir, and an abandoned sewer pipe system.

I'll never forget it and that is the shortcut I would be.

The 'shortest' cut possible, of course. The 'shortest' being in my definition the path that provides maximum distance traveled with minimum loss of energy. For is that not the 'path of least resistance'?
