It is not false and it is the best feeling ever when people you know are not gone (they are not stupid people who make fights). It is a for-people feeling but I can feel that way for other animals.

'Fall' into love? I think love came into existence for me the first time I heard someone use the phrase 'I hope', but it was not sexual. When I became sexual that transformation for love took some time to become stable or certain. That would be stage five. When fidelity started to destroy its self, I fell back to stage four for re-evaluating my competency for stage five. Now I think about stage eight for stage three.

The Erikson life-stage virtues, in the order of the stages in which they may be acquired, are:

hope 1
will 2
purpose 3
competence 4
fidelity 5
love (in intimate relationships, work and family) 6
caring 7
wisdom 8

Everyone else described it so beautifully that I don't think there's much I could add!! I have experienced feeling what I consider true love TOWARD/FOR a man, but I am unsure if it has even been given back to me. I don't believe it has, as I have never had anyone love me "unconditionally". The love I have received. unfortunately, was alway been based (looking back on it now of course!!) on what I could give, how I made the person feel, etc. I don't think anyone has ever truly loved me for just being ME. I still think he's out there somewhere - I just haven't found him yet!

P.S. The purest, most beautiful "true love" I have ever felt for another human being was for each of my two children the moment that we first locked eyes after they born. It makes me want to cry just thinking about it! If that's all that God has in store for me, it would surely be enough, as I feel incredibly blessed because some people never even get to experience that. Of course the selfish part of me hopes that someday I will experience the true love of a man - someone who loves and accepts me for who I am and who will be a life partner for as long as I have left on this Earth!!

when you fall in love you get overly happy when u think about them or your talking with em. You two take the words right out of each others mouth. You have common interest but you make up for what each other lack in your life. Your unselfish You can tell them anything and know that you won't be judged what-so-ever. When u have true love you act different...sense's that u have never used rise up within you...feelings that u can't control but that's okay because you wouldn't want to.

This is the closet that I have come to true love at the time we feel we were not ready for a relationship but who knows what the future holds...only GOD>

In my opinion, there is a huge difference between 'falling in love' and knowing what 'true love' is.
I know both.
When I was younger, I thought I was 'in love' a total of 3 times. Each time the person rejected me.
When I fell in love with my husband, I knew it was different - but it was still 'in love'.

Now, I have a strong relationship with both my husband and God.
True love is knowing that you can trust your partner with anything. It is knowing that you are comfortable with everything they are. You can live without them around for a few days, or with them hanging around every minute. You can overlook their foibles and celebrate their virtues. You can laff together at yourselves. Live together in complete partnership, always supporting each other.

When you see a couple who has been married over 50 years, what do you imagine? Are they googly in love or are they comfortable or both?

there is another true love which is defined by God. It is a love so deep it is unfathomable. We can taste it, live it, feel it, and share it with abandon. It is unconditional. It is all encompassing and all soaking. All forgiving and all giving. I truly hope that you experience this true love in your life.

blessings :)

I have thought that I was in love before but those feelings were nothing like love. When you love someone, you love them because of your differences, not in spite of them.

When you are angry the anger doesn't last long.

When you are having a good day,you can't wait to share it.

When you are having a bad day, he is the first person that you want to talk to. Just being there and giving you that special hug really does make you feel better and He makes you feel that your day wasn't that bad after all.

I love sleeping in that full size bed with him because when I roll over in the middle of the night we instinctivly cuddle. Even though everyone else we know has a queen or a king I shudder at the thought of sleeping too far away from him.

I love that every touch is still electric.

I love that he is shocked that he is getting gray hair but he never notices mine.

I love it when he asks me when the last time I shaved my legs was but he still rubs them when I throw them across him on the couch.

I love that every night he kisses me on the forehead before he goes to sleep, even if he doesn't come to bed for hours after me.

I love that if I can't sleep and lay on the couch, it isn't long before he's in the living room asking me to come back to bed.

I love that he strokes my hair to wake me up in the morning and kisses me every day before he leaves for work and every day when he gets home.

He takes care of me when I'm sick and makes me drink awful concoctions.

He has strong hands that will never stop holding me or my heart.

I have only ever seen my husband cry once and it broke my heart. He has seen me cry many times and I can see his heart break every time I do...I try not to cry in front of him because I know it upsets him.

I want to save him from all of the pain in the world and it frustrates him that he can't save me from pain.

After ten years of all of this...I can't wait to see what the next ten hold.

I love my husband and he loves me.

At night, every night I tell him, "I love you husband."

All this, my dear, and more is love. Everything else is just a dress rehersal.

for me its when they run in your spirit, you cant go an hour with out thinking of them and when they smile it lights your world. when you look into the future they are always there, you can see yourself growing old with them and thought of having sex with another is disgusting . i fell in love 16 years ago still here we are still married and i still feel that way even when i am mad at him. he showed up to buy my car and he said the dumbest thing to me and that was that
